Buyers satisfied with product range, new suppliers and the venue at day three of China Sourcing Fair

The third day of China Sourcing Fair: Electronics & Components confirmed the success of the inaugural Hong Kong event and Global Sources' choice of the AsiaWorld-Expo venue. Buyers found the location convenient, easy to access and with unparalleled support services.

Cheng H. Hsu, a category manager for Ariba Deutschland GmbH, captured the mood of buyers. "We are very impressed with the organization of the show. The staff is very friendly and efficient and the location is very convenient. I just came to Hong Kong from Germany this morning and within one minute I'm here in the exhibition venue."

The product range also earned praise from buyers. "We go to other fairs, Electronica, Taitronics, Cebit and so on, but it is my first time to visit the China Sourcing Fairs," continued Hsu. "I'm very happy to be here; I think that you've good suppliers, which are a bit different from other trade fairs. Here you have got consumer electronics as well as electronic components."

The fair has more than 500 booths devoted to electronic components.

Roozmehr Safi, commercial manager of Telefonika Co. in Iran is finding capable suppliers for corded and cordless phones, especially DECT phones from China. "I think the China Sourcing Fair is well-organized with good potential suppliers. DECT phones have a big potential market in Iran and the authority is to allow the standard soon," said Safi. "I'll be back in October," he said.

Exhibitors began to lock away sales negotiated in the first two days while entertaining an influx of new buyers. Robert Luo, general manager of Tiger NetCom, which focuses on VoIP products commented: "Even before the completion of day one, I had seen enough buyer traffic to be satisfied. I am seeing existing customers but most of our visitors are new contacts," he noted.

The fair runs until April 18 and features more than 1,700 booths of the hottest electronics products on the market today — from consumer electronics to electronic components and power supplies. These are supplemented by a large number of exhibitors displaying telecom, security, digital imaging, in-car and computer and networking products.
